Share your story on a Postcard

In celebration of London Culture Days at the end of September, we are inviting Londoners to share their stories with us.  We are looking for all kinds of stories from all kinds of Londoners.  The only criteria is that you wish to share this story with others.  We think that everyone has a story to share and we hope to inpsire you to record and share your stories with our Postcard Stories project.

How does it work?

Pick up a blank postcard at any London Library location.  Take it home or work on it at the library.  Share them with friends.  Open to all ages.

On the postcard, share a story, observation, illustration or image from your life, your imagination or your day.  Use whatever tools you wish to write or illustrate your story on the postcard.

Bring the completed postcard to any library location.  Our staff will ask you to fill out a short form that gives us permission to keep, display and share your postcard story.  We will give you a special Postcard Stories button to keep in exchange for your story (while supplies last).

Postcards will be displayed at each of our library locations.

During Culture Days, on Saturday, September 28, we will be inviting Londoners to visit our locations to see your postcard stories as part of London Culture Days.  You can continue to submit your stories to us until October 26, 2013 and we will continue to display them and share them in our locations and online.

You can also choose to submit your story online through our website here.  We'll print out all stories received online and will display them at Central Library during Culture Days.
