FUN-tastic Community Family Literacy Celebration

FUN-tastic Community Family Literacy Celebration, Saturday, January 30, 10 am to 2 pm Central Library

Join us this Saturday, January 30, 10 am to 2 pm at the Central Library for a FUN-tastic Community Family Literacy Celebration!

Bring the whole family to this fun-filled community celebration of Family Literacy Day. Join us for crafts and activities, games, stories, music, face painting, pizza (low-cost), draw prizes and more! There will also be a special theatrical presentation of "Rumpelstiltskin" by DuffleBag Theatre at 11 am in the Wolf Performance Hall (presented by Prologue to the Performing Arts).

Family Literacy Day is a national awareness initiative created by ABC Life Literacy Canada in 1999 and held annually at the end of January to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.

Drop in for a special day as we celebrate making literacy a fun and important part of every day.
