Has your Library Card expired?
Open Saturday, April 8.
Placing Holds Temporarily Paused
We have temporarily paused the ability to put physical library items (books, DVDs, etc.) on hold while London Public Library is closed. You will still be able to place holds on our digital resources (eBooks and eAudiobooks in OverDrive/Libby).
This change is a temporary measure that will assist us in getting back up and running as effectively as possible when we re-open. We expect to restore the hold function in advance of re-opening and will update you here with that confirmation.
During this time, you may want to use the My List feature on your account to save titles you wish to borrow when we re-open.
Steps to save to My List:
- Log into your account and search for the item you wish to add
- Click the shopping basket icon to add the item to your Library Bag
- When you are done adding items, Click on My Library Bag (along the top right menu of your screen) or View Library Bag (beside the item) and choose Save to List
- If you were not logged in, you will be prompted to do so
- Enter a name for your list and click Save
- To view your list, click My Account and choose My Lists
- If this feature is not working for you, try to clear your cache
- To remove items from a List, go into the List and Click Remove
You may also wish to review the list of items you currently have on hold and choose to delete or freeze items depending upon your need for these items when we re-open.
During the closure, all due dates for items you have borrowed and hold expiration dates for items that were waiting for you on our hold shelves when we closed will be extended until after we re-open.
No fines will be charged during the closure.
