The final numbers are in!

On Saturday, August 25th nearly 130 teens gathered in the Central branch to eat pizza, play Wii, PS3, make buttons...and talk about their summer reading! Get Caught Reading participants across the city read  1 022 571 pages this summer!  Bravo!  Following a concert by local teen indie band Original Think, participants, their friends and families waited in anticipation of the Awards Ceremony in the Wolf Performance Hall.

Congratulations to the Top Readers in the city:

Brittney  at the Glanworth Branch read 47 453 pages.

Alex at the Crouch Branch read 46 132 pages.

Heidi at the Central Branch read 42 135 pages.

Hodan at the Westmount Branch read 39 526 pages.

Prizes were also awarded to the top readers at each branch.  Many thanks to the Western Fair District for their generous support of this program including Western Fair Prize Packs for our Top Readers and a chance to be part of the Western Fair's Opening Ceremonies.  The Stoney Creek Branch had the overall highest total number of pages read: 139 588 pages.  Need some inspiration to keep reading once school starts?  Check out the excellent book review blogs written by London teens on our Get Caught Reading blog.  Congratulations again to all our readers!
