FUN-tastic Community Celebration of Family Literacy Day 2012!

On Saturday, January 28 from 10 am to 2 pm we want to celebrate all the great ways that families make literacy a part of their daily lives. So … we are having a party and all families are invited!

Join us at the Central Library for this free fun-filled community celebration of nationally recognized Family Literacy Day with crafts and fun hands-on literacy activities, stories, games, face painting, pizza (low cost) and draw prizes.

There will also be a special performance by the hilarious DuffleBag Theatre of Beauty and the Beast at 11 a.m. in the Wolf Performance Hall.

You and your family will discover just how much fun reading, playing and literacy can be and you will take home lots of great ideas on how you can easily make literacy an enjoyable and worthwhile part of your daily lives.

This celebration is hosted by the Library along with its many community partners: London Children's Museum, Storybook Gardens, Investing in Children, London's Ontario Early Years Centres, Frontier College, tykeTalk, Rotary Club of London West, Let's Talk Science, Child and Youth Network, London Chapter Spelling Bee of Canada, Community Early Years Partnership, La Ribambelle, YMCA.

Hope to see you on January 28th at the Central Library! Drop in anytime between 10 am and 2 pm.
