Spring Melt Books: Stick Games!
26 March 2015 - 2:01pmWhen the snow melts there will be sticks to play with! The spring melt will come and when it does there will be streams of water up and down our streets. There’s nothing like finding a stick and floating it along. Even better is making it a race, like Winnie the Pooh’s Poohsticks game.
Read all about it in Chapter Six of The House at Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne.
Find more things to make or do with a stick in The Stick Book by Jo Schofield and Fiona Danks.
"Now one day Pooh and Piglet and Rabbit and Roo were all playing Poohsticks together. They had dropped their sticks in when Rabbit said "Go!"..."I expect my stick's stuck," said Roo. "Rabbit, my stick's stuck. Is your stick stuck, Piglet?" "They always take longer than you think," said Rabbit."
