The internet has changed the publishing business forever and in doing so has created amazing opportunities for writers, especially self-publishers.

If you are a budding writer this course may be the one for you. It's called "How to Get Published" and runs on Saturday Nov.6 at the Central Library from 10am-4pm. The workshop leader Brian Henry has been a book editor and creative writing instructor for more than 25 years. He teaches creative writing at Ryerson university and George Brown College and has led workshops everywhere from Boston to Buffalo, from Sarnia to Moncton. He will cover getting started, getting an agent, getting your short pieces published, finding a book publisher and more.
